Journey to the Cross [Excerpt]
Journey to the Cross is an interactive drama that retells the story of Jesus’ final week using a combination of…
There is something about story that moves us, drawing us toward better understanding, that can get lost through other means of communication. Jesus used stories to teach, speaking in parables to help illustrate principles of the Kingdom of God. These stories connected with His followers in meaningful ways because they appealed to more than their intellect – they appealed to the emotion and creativity God Himself placed within their hearts.
We can tell stories too. Stories that move people to understand God better, or connect with Him on a deeper level. One of my favorite ways to tell stories in the context of the local church is through drama – where the truth of a message is given a voice, a narrative, and the flesh-and-bones of a character. I hope the church drama scripts below can help your creative ministry team tell stories that will be meaningful for the congregants of your church.
All Christmas, Easter, Family and Student Ministry, and Patriotic scripts are available on the Scripts page.
