what I’ve been reading | a few of my favorite bloggers
If you and I went out for coffee, I would undoubtedly tell you about something fabulous I read on someone’s blog. Maybe it inspired me creatively. Maybe it motivated me to be a better mom. Maybe I just thought it was funny or pretty or really really cool. The why wouldn’t matter as much as the fact that it made a difference for me – and I’d want to tell you on the off chance it might make a difference for you too.
Because we probably won’t be able to meet for Starbucks anytime soon (you know with the holidays coming and all), I took the liberty of sitting down with a grande Peppermint Mocha on my morning off from mommy-ing to share a few of my absolute-favorite-must-read-everyday-blogs.
– Better Life Blog –
the girl behind the blog
Rebecca is a mom of two littles with a big dream to see the underprivileged resourced both in her hometown and around the world. She makes incredible custom bags at Better Life Bags, where a portion of each purchase is loaned to low income entrepreneurs in developing countries through Kiva. Because of the growth she’s seen in business she is now able to hire first generation immigrant women in her community who could not work otherwise outside the home. Incredible.
the hook
I am inspired by Rebecca’s compassion and drive and I really love her writing. She posts on everything from shop updates to motherhood to working out her faith in everyday life. Plus she sews. Really cool stuff. So many reasons to love this blog . . .
– Hollywood Housewife –
the girl behind the blog
You remember Laura, from the Momma Dreamer series earlier this year. She’s still being fabulous at Hollywood Housewife, and has also started contributing for All Parenting and Simple Design. She is a mom to two and blogs about mothering (Mommy Mondays), life with her producer husband (Red Carpet), Lazy Beauty, being a Hostess at Home, and every Friday she links up her favorite things from around the web. They are jewels friend, and often stretch me to read things outside my comfort zone.
the hook
In a lot of ways Laura is everything I am not, which of course is fascinating to me. But then there are incredibly strong connections – like her passion to write and her desire to be a good mom. Every year she tells a small part of the story of her life which has inspired me to be open and personal in my own writing.

– Kate Elizabeth Conner –
the girl behind the blog
Kate is also a mom to two (with one on the way!), and in addition to being a blogger, is a writer and speaker. She’s gotten crazy internet press for her posts 10 Things I Want to Tell Teenage Girls and Dear Boys, but *I think* all her posts are pretty fabulous. She posts about faith and motherhood and the crazy idiosyncrasies of life that come with both.
the hook
I love love love Kate’s content and writing style. She’s funny and inspiring and when I read her posts I feel like she’s either completely read my mind, or we’re destined to be friends. I laugh, I cry, I’m inspired. What more could you ask for in a daily-read-blog?

– She’s the Girl That Sings –
the girl behind the blog
Julianna is a woman of many talents. In addition to writing her own blog, she’s written an e-book, is a worship leader, has a new album, and teaches singing and blogging e-courses. She also does some really creative monthly series that pulls together the thoughts of fabulous guest bloggers.
the hook
I see a lot of my pre-baby self in Julianna – the creative-musical-expressive-loving-the-newlywed-stage-of-life-part – that is fun for me to reconnect with. She is a creative soul all the way through and her posts inspire me to push my own creative limits and really live that part of God’s design for my life.
