Welcome 810AM KLVZ Portraits of Faith Listeners!
I’m so glad you stopped by!
It was such an honor to be part of Rebecca and Sarah’s first show today and to share with you a piece of our story. The season of life that my family and I find ourselves in has been life-changing and challenging, but it has also opened a window through which we can see God at work in the brokenness our lives.
The story that God is writing through this season isn’t over for us yet. We can’t see right now how all the loose ends will get neatly tied up and left behind us, but we are choosing to believe, like Shauna Niequist writes in her book Bittersweet, “that sometimes the happiest ending isn’t the one [we] keep longing for, but something [we] absolutely cannot see from where [we] are.” We are choosing to believe that God is directing our steps, and that the plan He has for us is a good one, despite the immediate circumstances in our lives that might try to dissuade us otherwise.
This is the story of how we are finding our way through our own season of pressure, the events in our lives that brought us to where we are today, and the lessons we are learning in the process. My prayer is that you might be inspired on your own journey to believe that despite what might be making your life challenging – maybe even in the midst of challenge – you can believe God is working to bring about the good plan He has for your life as well.
