Thankful-List
It’s really easy to get caught up in the chaos of the holidays. There’s tons to do, places to be and if you’re not carefully intentional you’ll blink and realize it’s all over. Before your house guests arrive and before you start peeling your sweet potatoes, grab a cup of coffee and take a minute to reflect on what you are truly thankful for this year.
Here’s my thankful-list:
My husband.
Michael loves me unconditionally and works so hard to be everything to they boys and I. He is right now working nearly full-time hours, going to school full-time, and being the husband and dad we need at home. I don’t know how he does it, but I am so thankful for who he is, and what he does to lead our family.
My boys.
Elijah and Noah have brought more joy to my life than I know what to do with. I will never ever stop loving how their faces light up when they smile and how their distinctively beautiful laughs fill our home. Mike and I marvel daily at how incredibly blessed we are because of their lives, in our lives.
Provision.
God’s provision is powerful. We have walked an uncertain road over the last two and a half years but have never lacked in anything. We have a home to live in, food at our table and clothes on our backs. We have two vehicles that work and gas to fill them with. Mike has a job that he loves that can support our family. We are blessed.
My family.
The older I get the more I appreciate family. Our moms and dads and brothers and sisters do so much to contribute to our lives and to our kids. I am convinced there is no other family I’d like to be part of than the Trevino and Drachenberg families.
My friends.
We laugh together and cry together, celebrate the joys in life and share in struggles. I love them and thank God He put them in my life.
My freedom.
I can’t thank the men and women who serve our country enough. Their sacrifice gives me the ability to express myself, pursue dreams, raise my family without fear, and worship God.
Faith.
I would be lost without my faith in God. He is the strength that has carried us through the past couple of years. He is our hope for tomorrow. He is the friend that never fails and the love that is constantly true. Every good thing we have comes from Him. Because of what He has done in our lives we have so much to be thankful for.
What are you thankful for?
