So here’s what you missed . . .
So here’s what you missed . . .
Things have been a-good-kind-of-crazy at our house. In the last couple of weeks we’ve had Mike’s parents in from Arizona, my brother and sister-in-law in from Arizona, and my sister in from Florida. During the first leg of family visits, Mike re-tore the meniscus in his left knee (we will finally find out tomorrow what the plan of attack is with the orthopedic).
Between barbeques, parties, and just plain hanging out with all the fam, my parents and I have been in the process of installing a patio (which goes very slowly when you are dealing with limited free time, lots of rain and a little boy who thinks HE should get to play in the dirt!).
I’ve also landed a new part time project-by-project job with One Hope writing creatively for their new Displaced Children’s Book of Hope. This is in addition to my other part time job working with IConnect and the Illinois District. Thankfully both jobs have flexible hours and I get to work from home. Bonus with One Hope – I get to work directly with my sister!
If all that weren’t keeping me busy, I went to my first Niles Township Community Orchestra practice last night – super fun, but also super weird. It felt a little like the twilight zone, or maybe an orchestral version of Glee, walking through the halls and into the same orchestra room that I had class in throughout high school. And then some kid started hitting on me, except I didn’t know he was hitting on me until he asked me if I was a senior this year . . . uh no, I graduated almost ten years ago (yikes)!
And now for all of you who tune in every week to watch my current all time favorite show (Glee) . . .
And that’s what you missed WITH ME! 🙂
