1 male

PERFORMANCE TIME
5 minutes (either monologue)

Description

Relying on the Gospel accounts (specifically John’s), it is understood that Judas’ betrayal was long foretold in Scripture, known from the moment Judas was chosen as a disciple by Jesus, and influenced in the moment of betrayal by Satan.

While we will never know more about Judas than what has already been expressed through Scripture, the following monologues offer two different fictionalized interpretations of his motive.

Use either in combination with other monologues and service ideas, special music, video, additional narration, or other artistic expression to craft an entire Good Friday or Easter experience.
