Child Discipleship
Answers in Genesis
Answers in Genesis is an apologetics ministry, dedicated to helping Christians defend their faith and proclaim the good news of Jesus effectively. We have used (and LOVED) all of their resources on Dinosaurs, creation, and apologetics.
Talk About
Talk About is a free family discipleship resource from Awana that helps parents disciple their kids through simple discussions and family fun.
- BONUS: I was honored to be one of the curriculum writers for this resource!

Fiction Authors
I will always love a good story. Each of the authors included on this list have so many amazing books – it was hard to pick just one to display. Browse through a collection of each author’s work on Amazon at the link above each thumbnail. I have read many of their books and highly recommend ANY of them.
Family Read Alouds
Like their momma, my boys enjoy a good story – especially when there is adventure involved. What follows is a list of our favorite Christian fantasy series organized (and linked) by the name of each series and then the first book in the series. I PROMISE you will not be disappointed.
Homeschool
My Father’s World
We have used My Father’s World homeschool curriculum for all of our boys. It’s easy to teach and we’ve found the older ones are performing above grade level in public school. Resources can be purchased a la carte (many of our favorites are linked on this page) and are helpful for kids interested in good reading material, biblical study, history, and science.
Common Sense Media
This secular resource was recommended to us by our local library for movie, TV, book, game, podcast, and app reviews. This website has become especially handy vetting ELA curriculum from the public high school. The website is free to use for the first three searches and then you will have to pay a monthly subscription fee (that can be canceled at any time).

Additional Resources
Abe Books
Like Amazon, but for used books. We have purchased many of the above resources on Abe. Shipping is free (most of the time) and books arrive in good condition.
Gabb Wireless
Unlimited talk and text smartphone look-alike. No group messaging, no images, no internet, no social media. We use this service on two of their original phones for our oldest boys (beginning in Middle School). STRONGLY suggest the parent resource section and their instagram account for tips and tricks guiding kids in the digital age.
Plugged In
Christian reviews from Focus on the Family that can be searched by movie, television show, music, games, and YouTube channels. We always check this site before watching a new movie.
