I wish you new
There’s something magical about breathing the fresh air of a new year. We get a chance to start again, re-prioritize and “do-over” what didn’t work the year before. We get a mulligan. The failures of yesterday are wiped away with the tick of a second hand and the excitement of new adventure abounds. We are invigorated to do, to accomplish, to be more than we ever were before. January is the season of possibility and new life swooshes into our lungs with the cold crisp air of its change.
Dramatic? Maybe. But if you’ve never felt the passion to grasp that which is just beyond reach, you haven’t truly felt the thrill of New Years.
Life is a gift that’s been given to be lived. There is an entire year ahead of you waiting to be experienced. Try something new. Do that thing you’ve always wanted to but haven’t. Say what you’ve been holding tight inside. Express. Grow. Challenge. Learn. Become.
Make this year the year that changed everything.
Resolutions are fantastic because they force us to take a moment to assess our lives and plan for desired change – but don’t forget that tradition is only a tool. Tools left unused do very little to build anything of value.
I pray that we have the strength to pursue and dream and be all that God has for us this year.
I wish you new.
