FREE Blog Planner [The Listmaker’s Blog Planner]
Two of the biggest takeaways from my blogging class so far, has been to take content creation seriously by drafting an editorial calendar for my posts, and to intentionally take notice of post trends – what’s resonating with readers, what’s being shared, and where it’s gaining momentum.
It’s been a completely enlightening experience for me, and through the process I’ve realized I’ve had to reevaluate how to practically apply these takeaways to my blogging routine. The brain dump of ideas I have in Evernote are a wonderful place to start when I’m staring at a blank screen, but the really good posts rarely make it to the web without a specific space (or spaces) on the calendar to get them there. When I’ve tried to squeeze these ideas into my regular planner, life gets to feeling cluttered and overbearing and difficult to decipher without a color-coded legend.
Recently, I decided to try something different by separating them out, and designed a new planner with those two very important takeaways in mind. Today I’m sharing this planner with you for FREE . 🙂
The Listmaker’s Blog Planner is a 12 month organizational blogging tool that begins with a two-page year-at-a-glance spread, followed by monthly sections to help you organize and schedule the following:
- Editorial calendar
- Monthly blogging/writing goals
- Income and expenses
- Weekly calendar pages and to-do lists
- Month-end stats and social media
- Publishing calendar
Because really. What publishing calendar is ever the same as the editorial one?!
I purposely left out all the month-and-date headings to make the planner easy to print and use at any time of the year. And there is space – so. much. space. – to make lists, to schedule, to plan, to re-plan, and to keep moving forward with this crazy amazing profession called blogging.
Here’s to the best year of creative and organized blogging yet.

I took my planner to a local print spot, had it run double-sided in black and white on card stock, and coil bound for good measure. If you’re hesitant to print the entire planner on the first run, start with a month or two and see how it goes. That’s the beauty of free.
I LOVE providing free resources here. If this planner is helpful to you – please pass the link on to someone else and share the love. I’d be ever so appreciative :).
