What to Expect during the Experience Christmas Devotional Series
I’m so glad you’re interested in participating in the Experience Christmas devotional series. Each Monday through Friday, beginning December 1, and ending December 25, I’ll be sharing an original Christmas devotional meant to inspire you to really experience Christmas this season. Each post is formatted to engage your heart through song, scripture, reflection and prayer, and will be marked by the following headings:
Watch & Listen
Posts begin with a YouTube link to a Christmas song that compliments the day’s Scripture and devotional content. Some of the accompanying videos are so inspiring, I’d encourage you to click back and watch them at some point during the day.
Read
While it’s easy to skip extra clicks, I strongly recommend reading all the Scripture links at the beginning of each post, as they directly relate to the daily devotional.
For a more extensive Scripture study, take advantage of BibleGateway’s blue Study This link that appears in the top right corner of linked scriptures and browse through their online commentaries.
The devotional content of this series is meant to compliment both the Scripture and song for each day, as well as make space in your heart for a moment of focused inward reflection.
Consider
The entire devotional experience points toward spiritual questions to assist you in your personal reflection and consideration of the day’s post. It might be helpful to grab a journal to jot down your thoughts and any words God might speak to you personally through this experience.
Pray
Each post ends with a prayer prompt for your heart, for your day, and for your experience of Christmas this year. (That journal might be useful here too!)
