Narration 4
NARRATOR E
Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to stand in Bethlehem the night that Jesus was born. I wonder what stories the stars would have told, what sound the Angels would have cried, and what earthly presence would have been in the manger.
I can’t help but believe there had to have been something different in the air – something that made people question what sacred thing had just transpired. I suspect that many people in Bethlehem missed it. But some were allowed to know, and feel, and sense supernaturally the weight of Jesus’ entrance into humanity. And while they probably did not understand every intricate detail of God’s plan, they knew that night was different, they knew that night was special, and they knew that night was holy.
Carol 4
O Holy Night, Placide Cappeau de Roquemaure
Verse 1
O holy night! The stars are brightly shining;
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth;
Long lay the world in sin and error pining;
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn;
Chorus 1
Fall on your knees, Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night, O holy night, O night divine!
Verse 2
The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our Friend
He knows our need to our weakness is no stranger
Behold your King, before Him lowly bend!
Behold your King, before Him lowly bend!
Chorus 2
Christ is the Lord oh, Praise His name forever!
His power and glory evermore proclaim!
His power and glory evermore proclaim.
