all manner of updates
I’ve been on a bit of a writing binge and as a result I’ve left a couple posts open-ended. This entry is my effort at tying up some of my loose ends. 🙂
I hate running.
Since my June 7 post about running, I have continued – despite a lovely fall right outside my house that sent me to physical therapy for four weeks (yes I am that much of a klutz!) – and I hate it less. I feel like I’ve actually found my sweet spot, running two to three times a week at the free track at the local fitness center. It puts a bit of “destination” into my week and surprisingly I get lots and lots of ideas when I run. Who would have thought?
Mommy Body Image | Pre-Preggo Jeans
I’m still on the post-partum weight-loss yo-yo despite my efforts to keep at the running. I just really like eating – mostly sweets, but I don’t discriminate. The good news is that I’ve fallen into the rut after I got out of the maternity pants. The bad news is that I’ve gotta get out of the rut – because I’m not quite into my regular pants. Might have to cut out the chocolate chips, again.
The Eating Wars
Picky Eater has been refusing to eat unless Daddy feeds it to him. Blech.
Baby Eater started on carrots yesterday (that Mommy made from scratch!) and loved them. Hooray!
(Mis)Adventures in Potty Training
We’ve pretty much been at a stand-still. Unless you count the time Elijah pooped in the toilet to get a toy train. It’s a charming story really, if for no other reason than because he is just that smart. Feign interest in potty training to get new toy. Brilliant. Yes we fell for it and yes we still subscribe to Pull-ups.
Donating Breast Milk
Wouldn’t you know the minute I write a post about donating breast milk, my supply starts to evaporate? Or Noah goes on a massive eating binge . . . I haven’t decided which one really happened. Regardless, I’m having to use some of the rhogam milk to supplement current production :(. But it’s probably a good thing – I don’t think breast milk lasts longer than 6 months in a deep freeze anyway. At least it will be used. We’ll see how having added real food to Noah’s diet affects the milk issue in this house.
Under Construction | grateful for a planning day
Hopefully you’ve noticed that things have been a bit more organized around the blog. There are still changes coming, they will just appear a little slower as I’ve been posting more and feel like I have a train-load of ideas to share. Exciting times.
