Sewing is something I have always loved that connects the generations of my family together. I learned to sew watching my Mom and Grandma put in countless hours mending and creating at our kitchen table growing up. There was not one pattern, one project, one mending job that my Grandma couldn’t handle well. When I take needle to thread I feel like a tiny extension of her life lives on and it makes me smile to know in this simple way I am passing a piece of her down to my boys.
It’s unlikely I’ll start an etsy shop, and you’ll probably only see me post when I’ve been commissioned by the littles to create a new character, but you can be sure I’ll love every minute of my time spent creating this way.
Here’s to grandmas and little boys and the life we live between the two.
